Happy February!  Wow, it is hard to believe that we have already passed month into 2012!  And even harder to believe how warm it has been--no snow--and none in sight!

Let's begin with an update on some things.  First, the "Truth Project" schedule may seem confusing during February, due to our business meeting last month; however, we will be back on track in March, as we will be blessed to have Ricky and Jamie Owens in our evening service on February 26.  So, here goes:

--The Truth Project video #4 (for those who didn't see it Sunday) is tonight at 6:45 p.m.

--The Truth Project discussion over #3 is tonight at 7:00 p.m.

--The Truth Project video #5 will be next Sunday at 5:45 p.m.  Just DVR the parts of the game and you can catch up watching it (or the commercials, if that's your preference, when you get home...you won't miss much that matters if you come Sunday night, but you will miss much that DOES matter if you stay home).  This Sunday night is part 1 of having a Christian worldview concerning science...it is absolutely essential stuff!

--Since we were not able to have shut-in outreach last week due to a funeral, we will have it this Thursday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m.

--Next Sunday is the day to bring your change for the National Church Planting Office.  The change offering has been down the past couple of months, so don't forget!

--Sunday is also the start of a new sermon series, "All in for Prayer".  Prayer is something else that many of us know is important, but don't practice it enough, and need reminding of, so make sure and be here for this important series!  BTW, let's contact someone that we did not see this past week and get our attendance back over 200 this week!

--There will be a brief meeting of those ladies attending the Beth Moore Conference in KC this Sunday right after the morning service.

--Be a part of the Easter choir!  There will be rehearsal this Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

--Don't forget to do your B90X Bible reading, as we read through the New Testament in 90 days!

--Sunday, March 4, we are excited to have the Baptist Bible College choir with us in the morning services.  We will have a special concert with them during the Sunday School hour, and then more music from them in the worship service.  We will have a signup sheet available for many of you to keep students in your homes that Saturday night.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

--Continue to pray for Louise I.  She was at Stormont-Vail as her blood count was low, but she has been dismissed from the hospital.

--Continue to pray for Roy H who is having physical rehab at St. Francis following his stroke.

--Pray for a couple of friends of Chris P:  Jann N, who had a stent put in on Monday in Wichita; and Keith A, who has cancer.

--Pray for Becky V, who is need of a vehicle.  If you know how you can be a blessing in this area, please contact me.

--Continue to pray for our Upward basketball season.  This week begins the 2nd half of games.

I am very excited to begin the "Not a Fan" study in April.  One of the great challenges of the study revolves around this quote, "The biggest threat to the church today is fans who call themselves Christians but aren’t actually interested in following Christ. They want to be close enough to Jesus to get all the benefits, but not so close that it requires anything from them."

Let's be "all in" as a church family in 2012!

Wishing you God's best,
